1/3/2024 0 Comments Lithium battery disposal![]() There are numerous adverse effects of mining the different materials in solar batteries, and the more we can recycle those materials, the less we’ll have to keep mining them. What’s more, the mining process itself is a particularly destructive practice for the environment. Those metals we mentioned above? Some of them are toxic and can contaminate the natural environment and our water supply if they’re just tossed in a landfill. Recycling batteries is good for the environmentĪside from the monetary benefits of recycling valuable battery parts, just like recycling plastics, it’s good for the environment to recycle batteries. Rare metals like cobalt will only become harder to mine as time goes on, which leads to more money spent on their extraction. Especially when it comes to metals like cobalt and nickel, it’s both financially and environmentally costly to mine and process these materials, so reclaiming and reusing them is useful whenever possible. There are many valuable and useful materials in lithium-ion batteries: cobalt, iron, nickel, to name a few. Recycling batteries preserves and repurposes rare and essential materials There are two major reasons why recycling solar batteries and electric vehicle batteries is important: recovering materials and protecting the environment. Why it’s important to recycle lithium-ion solar and electric vehicle batteries Start comparing your options for a home battery installation on EnergySage today.By improving our lithium-ion battery recycling process, we can save money and protect the natural environment.Lithium-ion batteries are recycled much less often than their lead-acid counterparts, and it’s not a very efficient process yet.If you’re looking to recycle a lead-acid solar battery, it’s relatively easy Lead-acid batteries already have a well-developed recycling process. ![]() Moreover, recycling LiBs domestically offers the potential to address supply chain issues, including transportation costs from distant parts of the world.Ĭoherent’s battery materials recycling process offers a pragmatic path to lowering battery manufacturing costs while enabling EVs to achieve economies of scale with a positive environmental impact. These additional benefits include the conservation of natural resources and lower energy consumption during processing. The key to significantly reducing these impacts is efficient LiB waste recycling. However, EVs cannot be considered truly “green,” as several negative environmental impacts have been attributed to them, including battery life-cycle issues such as raw material mining and the stockpiling and disposal of LiB waste. The shift to electric vehicles (EVs) is a primary driver of environmental policy in industrialized and developing countries, aimed at curbing the use of fossil fuels and combating climate change. This results in significantly lower cost relative to common hydrometallurgical processes, without reducing the quality of the product. In this process, cathode precursor and cathode materials are produced from LiB waste. In Coherent’s recycling process, several metal separation steps are either bypassed or employed at a significantly smaller scale relative to conventional processes. One such innovation is development of patent pending hydrometallurgical processes to recover critical metals from black mass collected from lithium-ion batteries (LiB) efficiently. Coherent has more than 30 years of expertise in extractive metallurgy, with competent engineers and chemists as the centerpiece of various new product and process developments. ![]()

1/3/2024 0 Comments Dji drone case![]() But in all other respects, we found the Lite+ to be an impressively versatile piece of flying camera equipment in our review. Pro drone videographers might think twice about the lack of 10-bit video and D-Log profile, while the omission of side sensors for obstacle avoidance is a shame. The Lite+ model does lack the fourth-axis stabilization of its Evo Lite sibling, but the larger pixels on its sensor give it better light-gathering potential in dim conditions. But it also both leapfrogs the Air 2S and the Mavic Pro 2 with its 40-minute flight time and adjustable aperture (ranging from f/2.8 to f/11). Capable of shooting 5.4K footage at 30fps using a 1-inch sensor, it shares a remarkably similar spec sheet. Read our in-depth DJI Mavic 3 Pro reviewĪs the flagship flying machine from Autel’s latest line-up of DJI rivals, the Evo Lite+ goes directly up against the Air 2S.But if you want a top-spec drone that’s more portable and less expensive than the Inspire 3, the Mavic 3 offers it all – plus two telephotos. Its weight also puts it into the restrictive C2 European drone category. That said, its pro-tier video modes, as well as its price tag, make it overkill for beginners. That said, both telephoto cameras produce excellent images, and the option to zoom in 3x and 7x is fantastically useful in a range of scenarios.ĭespite being a pro drone, we found the Mavic 3 Pro incredibly easy to fly, aided by excellent safety features that make it accessible to all users. ![]() It’s also the winner in terms of adjustable aperture, formats and frame rates. In our review, we found the image quality of the main 24mm Four Thirds camera – the same one used by the Mavic 3 Classic (below) – the best. But if you’re an aerial photographer or videographer in search of the most versatile drone on the market, the results of our testing suggest the Mavic 3 Pro is the premium pick for you. Those on a tighter budget should still consider the Mavic Air 2, though.ĭJI’s new flagship is the first consumer drone with three cameras. Throw in the ability to shoot 1080p at 120fps and some impressive high ISO performance, and you have a superb all-round flying machine that soars above its mid-range rivals. The ability to shoot 5.4K video at 30fps gives you some extra creative flexibility, and supports a useful digital zoom option (even if we’d only recommend using that at 2x zoom). The new Mini 3 Pro (see above) is even smaller still, but this drone's camera is even better. It's a combo that we loved in our review, making the Air 2S our top choice for hobbyists and pros who really need that larger sensor. This drone has the same 20MP 1-Inch sensor as the one found in the older Mavic 2 Pro, which gives it greater light-gathering powers than the Mini 3 Pro, and a compact, folding design. It's no longer the newest drone in DJI's lineup and recently lost its number one spot to the DJI Mini 3 Pro above, but the Air 2S remains an excellent choice if image quality is more important to you than size. Read our in-depth DJI Mini 3 Pro reviewīest all-round drone for aerial photographers. If you can stretch your budget to include the DJI RC controller, you’ll land the best backpack-friendly bundle for aerial photography and video, bar none. We also liked the option to rotate its camera by 90 degrees for crop-free portrait recording. ![]() Together with automated flight modes, this makes it an easy drone for beginners to operate. Its three-directional obstacle avoidance worked well in testing. We also encountered very little noise even at the maximum ISO 6400, while the combination of a bright f/1.7 lens and dual native ISO tech gives the Mini 3 Pro impressive low-light performance. In our review, we found that the Mini 3 Pro’s 12.1MP 1/1.3-inch sensor produced excellent image quality. ![]() ![]() For the money, you get a far superior camera, obstacle avoidance sensors and a range of in-flight features that you’d normally only find on larger drones. It’s more expensive than previous editions of the Mini, but that extra cost yields a huge upgrade over the Mini 2. Packing the performance of bigger drones into convenient proportions, we think the DJI Mini 3 Pro is the best compact drone you can buy. ![]() ![]() ![]() There are are 12 volt relays between the control panel and the Ac units - that connect 120 volts to the motors. Poly-urethane: Xenon body kits, Wings West body kits, JP body kits, KBD body kits Below are our votes.įiberglass: Extreme Dimensions (Duraflex) body kits, Bomex body kits, Version Select body kits Question: Which brands of Subaru BRZ body kits are the best?Īnswer: It depends on what material of body kit you want. Like poly-urethane body kits, ABS plastic body kits are substantially more expensive than fiberglass body kits because they are so much more capital-intensive to design and create. They're easier to paint than poly-urethane body kits, but not quite as flexible they are more resemblant of your factory body panels. Many automobile manufactures use ABS plastic to make body panels. There are a few draw backs to urethane body kits though: 1) Paint doesn't adhere to them particularly well, so it takes extra elbow grease to get them painted properly, 2) They are prone to warping in extreme weather conditions, so you'd have to consider garaging them at times depending on where you live, and 3) They cost substantially more than fiberglass body kits.ĪBS Plastic body kits - ABS plastic body kits are the closest thing you'll find to what your own vehicle is made of. Also, urethane body kits can actually withstand small accidents and stay in tact. Urethane body kits are made out of heavy-duty molds and are machine-made, so the precision of finish is normally solid. The cost to develop a proto-type and mold for a complete urethane body kit is about 12 times that of a fiberglass body kit. Urethane body kits are more expensive than fiberglass ones because they cost a whole lot more to make. Poly-urethane body kits - Poly-urethane (also referred to as simply "urethane") is a techinical word that basically means "rubber". An example of this is the Duraflex brand of body kits, which is probably the most popular-selling line of body kits we offer. Extra note: some companies have introduced high-end fiberglass body kits that use a specialty flex resin that gives bodykit-buyers the best of both worlds: durabilty and affordabilty. Besides that, they're the most affordable type of body kit available. That being said, paint adheres really well to fiberglass, and fiberglass won't warp even in the most extreme of weather conditions. Also, most fiberglass body kits won't withstand a fender-bender as well as, for example, poly-urethane body kits. Fiberglass body kits are almost all made by hand, and because of that they don't have the same precision of fitment and finish as, say, your machine-made CAD-designed factory bumpers do. The main reason is because they're the most cost-effective to manufacture. Take a look:įiberglass body kits - These are the most prevalent body kits by far. Question: What's the difference between them?Īnswer: Each has its pros and cons. Question: What are Subaru BRZ body kits made of?Īnswer: Most body kits are either made of fiberglass, poly-urethane, or ABS plastic. 1/3/2024 0 Comments Do you yoga vs yoga anytime![]() In 1995, Bender Birch set out to challenge Americans’ understanding of what it really means to be fit with her book Power Yoga. There’s no time for adjustments with this type of yoga-you’ll be encouraged to breathe as you move from pose to pose. In class, you’ll be led nonstop through one or more of the series. The system is based on six series of asanas which increase in difficulty, allowing students to work at their own pace. In Sanskrit (the ancient language of India), yoga translates as “yoke” or “union,” describing the integration of mind and body to create a greater connection with one’s own pure, essential nature. Initially, the sole purpose of practicing yoga was to experience spiritual enlightenment. “Healing and balancing the physical body helps bring clarity and focus to the mind as well.” “Americans are usually drawn to yoga as a way to keep fit at first, but the idea behind the physical practice of yoga is to encourage a deeper mind-body awareness,” explains New York yoga teacher and author Beryl Bender Birch. By practicing yoga on a regular basis, you may be surprised to find that you’re building much more than a strong, flexible body. So, ignore any emails or phone calls threatening immediate consequences unless you make immediate payment, and you'll avoid that scam. Mail – and they'll give you far more than an hour or so to resolve the problem.
